How much does a sailing holiday in Croatia cost? It’s the most common question, and the most honest answer is: “it depends.” The price is driven by four main factors: the season (the July–August peak is the most expensive, while June and September are far friendlier), the size and type of the yacht, the number of people, and whether you sail with a skipper or without. The good news: since most of the fixed costs are charged per boat, not per person, the more of you there are, the cheaper the week works out per head.
The biggest item is the yacht charter. In 2026, the weekly rate for a modern 45-foot sailing yacht is roughly €3,500–4,000 in peak season, dropping to around €2,000–3,000 in the early season (June) or late season (September). A smaller 3-cabin yacht is available from about €2,000, while a catamaran is typically 30–50% more expensive thanks to its extra space and stability. For a group of six, that already comes to just a few hundred euros per person per week — a good place to start your calculation.
Then come the items many people don’t think about in advance.
